Learn MoreErica Fields is the Administrator of Special Projects and Community Relations for the City of Dayton Human Relations Council. In this capacity she oversees citywide education and outreach efforts to promote and improve understanding and policy that impact civil rights, diversity and inclusion and access to opportunity. She has been engaged in advocacy work to push for statewide policies advancing youth career pathways, economic self-sufficiency programs for the community’s most vulnerable populations, and opportunities for youth and community empowerment and engagement. Erica is a Dayton native and holds a Bachelor of Science in Business and a Master of Public Administration from Wright State University.

Learn MoreFred has been active as a City of Dayton Landmarks Commissioner for the past 20 years and Chair Person of that Commission for the past five years. He has been a Board member of the Dayton View Historic Association for a number of years and is also on the Boards of the Salem Avenue Peace Corridor llc. and the Gem City Market. Fred is a native Daytonian, residing, for the past 26 years in the Dayton View Historic District.

Learn MoreLowell Harris is a Shift Supervisor At the Greater Dayton RTA, where he supervises supervisors and operators, also works with Special events. Prior to this role, he worked as manager at Ren’s Supermarket for thirty-two years. A native Daytonian, Lowell grew up in west Dayton and currently lives in upper Dayton View with his wife Trina. Lowell is a trustee at the Bold Believer’s Church of Christ.

Learn MoreRick has a 40 year professional and volunteer relationship with Ambassador and former Congressman Tony Hall. For 18 of those years, Rick served as the key advisor while Mr. Hall was Ohio’s Third District Congressman. In his role as Chief of Staff, Rick managed the Congressional Office, supervised legislation, community projects and the appropriations process, gaining expertise in a variety of matters, including hunger, poverty, health care, international affairs, defense, technology, transportation, energy and education. Rick also previously served as Montgomery County, Ohio Treasurer; managing a $250 million portfolio on a daily basis — out-performing the marketplace, winning national awards, and simultaneously reducing costs. Rick currently serves as Senior Advisor, Hall Hunger Initiative and owner of Rick Carne Consulting, LLC.

Learn MoreLela Klein is the Executive Director of Co-op Dayton, where she facilitates the development of worker owned cooperatives to create good jobs and fill community needs. Prior to this role, she worked as a union-side labor and employment attorney for seven years. A native Daytonian, Lela grew up in Grafton Hill and currently lives in the South Park Historic District with her partner Robert and their two children. She began volunteering on the Gem City Market project in 2015, and is thrilled to be representing Co-op Dayton on its board.

Learn MoreCarrie has lived in the McPherson neighborhood for 15 years and started the neighborhood garden there in 2008.. She has been working to make greater downtown more vibrant for the last 21 years with Five Rivers MetroParks. Starting with the first phase of RiverScape, Carris has also overseen the growth of the 2nd Street Market, the Community Gardening Program, and MetroParks' other urban parks. She currently leads the agency’s construction, design, and planning, including the development of the Dayton Riverfront Plan.

Mr. Greer’s civic activities began in 1996 and is as follows: he is very active in his Harris Memorial CME Church as the Usher Board President and Trustee Board since 1997, member of the Male Chorus; Northwest Priority Board Chairman 2005 to present and Vice Chairman – 2001 to 2003; graduate Neighborhood Leadership Institute (NLI) – 2000; graduate first Citizen Police Academy – 2001 and graduate Citizen Police Academy – 2015; Member, Dayton to Durban Elimination of Racism Housing Caucus – 2003; Member Alliance Community Schools Board of Trustees of Dayton – Member since 2001; Lifetime Member, Blacks In Government /Greater Dayton Chapter, former 1 st Vice President 2005- 2008 and Chaplin; former 2nd Vice President Interdenominational Church Ushers Association, Inc. of Dayton; former YMCA Neighborhood Development Center (NDC) Board Chairman (Trotwood location) and current member; Membership Chair of the Dayton Community Revitalization Network (DCRN); former Member, City Wide Development Corporation (CWDC) Board 2009 to 2014; Board President of Power Net of Dayton, Inc. 2010 to 2016, and present 2018; 2013 inductee to the Dayton Africana Elders Council (DAEC); 2013 candidate for City of Dayton Commissioner; petitioner for 2015 City of Dayton Commissioner; recipient of SCLC Dayton Chapter 2016 Community Service Award; and Lifetime Member Dayton Unit NAACP. Mr. Greer is the proud father of Naomi, Darnell, Salina, and David Jr. Along with the blessing of his children, he has been doubled blessed with eight grandchildren and one great-grandson. They are four girls and four boys ranging in age from 28 years of age to 12, and seven years old, respectively.
